Clarksdale

If you've been to Clarksdale, you know.  If you haven't...well, the air is thicker than molasses, and blues just floats on it..it was born there, after all.  We recorded this session in the Juke Joint Chapel with me & a Mississippi rhythm section, and it's one of my favorite recordings. Heath the engineer put my guitar signal through 2 amps to get the fat tone I was looking for - check out Cover Me in Roses & Language of Horsed, & Kokomo - which is the only cover on the record, paying homage to the great Fred McDowell.
